The University of Liverpool is a teaching and research university in the city of Liverpool, England.
It is a member of the Russell Group of large research-intensive universities and the N8 Group for research collaboration.
Founded in 1881 (as a University college), it is also one of the six original “red brick” civic universities.
In the Times Good University Guide 2011, the University of Liverpool was ranked 28th.
The student population includes around 16,805 Undergraduate & 3,860 Postgraduate.
Intake: University offers only one intake with a start date in September.
Entry Criteria:
o Undergraduate Courses: Standard XII requires a minimum percentage of 70%-85% according to the course and exam board.
Students who do not meet the above entry requirement can apply for Foundation leading to main course through Liverpool International College.
o Postgraduate Courses: Bachelors degree with 60% & above. For MBA minimum 3 years of managerial or supervisory level work experience is required.
English Requirement:

Faculty of Science & Engineering (FSE)- IELTS 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 in each section.
Faculties of Humanities & Social Sciences and Health & Life sciences: IELTS 6.5 with no band less than 5.5 in each section.

Anatomy: IELTS 7.0 with 5.5 in each component.
Clinical Programs in Medicine & Dentistry- IELTS 7.0 with 7.0 in each component.
o Postgraduate Courses:
Faculty of Science & Engineering- IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in each component.
For MSc Product Design & Management and MSc Advanced Manufacturing Systems & Technology- IELTS 6.5 is required.
Clinical Programs in Medicine & Dentistry- IELTS 7.0 with 7.0 in each component.
Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences and Health & Life sciences: IELTS 6.5 with 5.5 in each component.
Management, Law & Applied Linguistics- IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in each component.
Politics, Communication & Media: IELTS 6.5 with 6.5 in Speaking
IELTS can be waived for both undergraduate & postgraduate courses if the students are from Indian (CISCE/CBSE/West Bengal/Maharashtra/Tamilnadu/Karnataka) Board with score 70%+ in Class XII.
